The NeighborWorks H.E.A.T. Squad is the one-stop-shop to stop burning money on heating fuel and have a more comfortable and healthy home– regardless of income.

1. We will schedule your Home Energy Check-Up (audit) with a specially certified contractor called an energy auditor.
2. The auditor will provide a detailed report of the findings and Home Energy Improvement recommendations. The report will include cost estimates of each recommendation and what incentives the upgrades qualify for if you complete them. You will also be given an estimate of how much money you will save when you complete the recommended work.
3. A H.E.A.T. Squad team member can go over the report with you to help determine which efficiency upgrades make the most sense for you and your budget.  He can also explain different financing options available.  Typical efficiency improvements can include but are not limited to: Insulation • Sealing drafts • Thermal shell improvements • Sealing out moisture
4. Your efficiency improvements begin!  The certified contractor who performs your audit usually completes the efficiency upgrades.  A few contractors only do Home Energy Check-Ups; in this case a different certified contractor completes the upgrades.
